=================================================
This is a letter from his agent Wendy Schneider:
With a heavy heart I wanted to share the tragic news that Bob Ulland has passed away. He had an accident on his boat yesterday, February 15, 2009, most likely related to his life long battle with diabetes.
Not sure if you knew him personally or knew of him, but he was one of the first guy who brought steadicam into the main stream of film making. He was admired by his peers for his continuous dedication to the steadicam world and whole process of movie making.
He is survived by his mother (Judith) and fiancée (Tracy) in Florida. At the moment I do not have any funeral details or where a donation came be made in Bob’s name, but if you are interested please send me an email and I will let you know when I have more details.
I would appreciate if you would forward this email to anyone who you might think knows Bob. Please except my apologies for including you in this email if it does not pertain to you. Bob has been in this industry for many years and not sure if and when your paths might have crossed.
All my Best,
Wendy

Steadicam Guild Newsletter – BLOG
Hello Steadicam Guild members,
This is the first issue of the Steadicam Guild Newsletter.
In this issue we will talk about the newsletter/blog and what our members would like to see in it.
Some ideas right off the bat would be to post articles relating “New Gadgets” another might be interesting/scary/funny stories “From the SET.” Yet, another great category might be to take a look back at the first steadicams and the first operators. We could call it “Remember when…”
These are just a few ideas but I’m open to more categories ideas.
The great thing about this blog is I can easily add videos, photos and audio to articles.
This concludes the first issues. (I know it’s not much right now but I’m just learning about BLOGS so bare with me.)
Thanks
